Strength, safety, and clarity — in four laminated layers.

Laminated glass is engineered to provide enhanced safety and durability through the bonding of multiple glass layers with an interlayer. Designed to remain intact upon impact, it minimises risks while maintaining structural integrity. At Glass Premium, we manufacture laminated glass using advanced processes that ensure consistent performance, high resistance, and long-lasting reliability — making it an ideal solution where safety, innovation, and protection are essential.

About

Laminated glass is engineered to provide enhanced safety and durability through the bonding of multiple glass layers with an interlayer. Designed to remain intact upon impact, it minimises risks while maintaining structural integrity. At Glass Premium, we manufacture laminated glass using advanced processes that ensure consistent performance, high resistance, and long-lasting reliability — making it an ideal solution where safety, innovation, and protection are essential. Our PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) interlayers are sourced from Trosifol, Germany, and used in four layers rather than the conventional two — significantly increasing strength, sound insulation, and UV protection.

Fabrication

The glass layers and PVB interlayers are cleaned, assembled, and subjected to controlled heat and pressure in our EPSEA autoclave. The process ensures strong adhesion, optical clarity, and a finished product that is bubble-free and certified to international laminated-glass standards (EN 14449 / ISO 12543). EVA laminated alternatives are also available — using a vacuum furnace process that bonds layers without bubbles, producing a clear and durable unit ideal for decorative and bespoke applications.

Best suited for

Façades and curtain walls, balustrades, partitions, overhead glazing, residential safety windows, retail shopfronts, museum display cases, decorative architectural elements, and any application requiring post-breakage retention. PVB laminated glass is the standard safety specification for schools, hospitals, and high-traffic public environments across the region.

Performance functions

PVB laminated glass can be specified to deliver multiple performance characteristics simultaneously — including sound control (PVB dampens acoustic vibrations), UV protection (>99% UV blocked), thermal insulation when used within a double-glazed unit, and safety / security performance to EN 356 anti-intruder or EN 1063 bullet-resistant standards. Coloured PVB interlayers are available on request for decorative applications.
